There are 2 basic methods of use:

1. Wrapped. You can wrap the strap around loop bands, pull-up bars, barbells, machine handles, and more.  Simply align the side with the D-ring so that it connects with the carabiner once wrapped around your desired object.  You can wrap multiple times to get a shorter or tighter grip depending on what you’re using it with. 

2. Straightened. You can connect to cable pulleys directly to the carabiner and use for a variety of exercises where the extra 10 inches of length can be of benefit.  Great examples are straight-arm pull downs, tricep extractions, rows, face-pulls, and bicep curls.
